Hutten Metaal Yamaha racing had a successful day during the Open Dutch 250 Championship event in Eersel. Andrea Bonacorsi took victory, cementing his championship lead. Dave Kooiker had a strong showing with a fourth place finish.

The sandy track of Eersel was well prepared, and the heat baked the track harder in some places than others. Bonacorsi qualified second, and Kooiker fourth. Both Hutten Metaal Yamaha riders launched well in race one. Kooiker rounded the last corner of the opening lap in second position, with Bonacorsi right behind him. Bonacorsi soon moved into second, and by mid-race distance, moved into the lead.  He never yielded the lead again, and took the flag as winner. Kooiker dropped back somewhat, and finished seventh.

Kooiker had the early lead in race two. Bonacorsi quickly settled on the back wheel of his teammate. He again took the race lead, but had a battle on his hands to keep it intact. He managed to do so, and won again. Kooiker finished third in this heat.

Bonacorsi was the overall winner, and Kooiker had a strong fourth place finish. This was a great training for both riders leading up to their next EMX250 championship event.
