Dave Kooiker of Hutten Metaal Yamaha Racing again scored a top ten finish during the third round of the EMX250 European Championships at Lommel. After his strong outing at Oss in the Netherlands, Kooiker did well in the deep sand of Lommel, despite a difficult first race where he finished 13th. He followed up with seventh in the second race, claiming ninth overall, which also reflects his championship standing.

Andrea Bonacorsi rose to third in the championship standings during the previous race at Oss, and was keen to continue along the rising line. Alas, fate decreed otherwise, and after finishing 12th in the first race, he crashed early in the second, and did not manage to recover to a points scoring position.  He has dropped to sixth in the championship standings.

Bailey Malkiewicz is still working on regaining full fitness. The heavy track was a too big challenge for him at this stage, and he did not get into the points.

The team will now prepare for the  next round of the series at Kegums, Latvia, next weekend.
