Andrea Bonacorsi of Hutten Metaal Yamaha Racing has scored a top three moto finish in the second round of the Dutch Masters of Motocross in Markelo. Bonacorsi finished third in the first moto and came home in seventh place in the second moto. Besides Bonacorsi, Ivano van Erp and Karlis Alberts Reisulis were finishing in the top ten as well.

Reisulis found his rhythm immediately on the track in time practice and set the fifth fastest time. Van Erp was close behind him in sixth and Bonacorsi ended the session in eighth place.

When the gate dropped in the opening moto it was Bonacorsi who took the holeshot. He was leading in the beginning of the race but during the race he lost a few positions but finished in a strong third position. Reisulis took a decent start as well and worked his way up into third position. During the race he lost a few places and finished the race in seventh position. Van Erp had a difficult beginning of the race and dropped all the way down to 25th position. He started a charge through the field and finished the race in thirteenth position.

Bonacorsi took another good start in the second moto and was riding in second in the beginning of the race. Because he was struggling to find his rhythm he lost a few places and came home in seventh position. Van Erp took a better start in the second moto and came out of the first lap in fourth place. In the beginning he lost a few places but in the second part of the race he came back strong and finished the moto in sixth. Reisulis fought himself to fifth position in the beginning of the race but lost a few places during and came home in eighth position.

Bonacorsi finished in fifth position overall, Reisulis ended the day in eighth and Van Erp finished in ninth position overall. After two rounds Bonacorsi is in fourth position in the championship. Reisulis is in sixth and Van Erp sits in eighth place. This weekend Hutten Metaal Yamaha Racing will race the third round of the EMX250 Championship in Agueda, Portugal.
