Hutten Metaal Yamaha Racing and Jumbo Supermarkets have singed a two year extension to their motocross racing partnership. The philosophy of the team principals is to guide talented young riders to eventual world championship participation. This philosophy was perfectly executed during the 2020 season with the EMX250 European Championship title going to team rider Thibault Benistant, who then made a sensational GP debut.
The Hutten Metaal Yamaha racing team will again field a strong team of talented youngsters next season with Andrea Bonacorsi, Dave Kooiker and Jeremy Sydow, and the aim is to go for title honors yet again. Jumbo Supermarkets is delighted to form part of this project and have confirmed their support for the project for the next two seasons.
Team owner Wim Hutten commented: “I am delighted that we were able to continue the co-operation with Jumbo Supermarkets. Frits van Eerd lives and breathes sport, and it is fantastic to have such a positive person by our side for this project. We had a successful year in 2020, and we will be hard at work during the coming winter so that we can can come out of our corner strongly again in 2021.’’
