Dave Kooiker of Hutten Metaal Yamaha Racing has won four motos at the last two rounds of the Dutch Open Championship in Gemert and Marum.
Kooiker participated in both races to keep his race rhythm on point. In Gemert he posted the second fastest time in time practice and started the opening moto with a lot of confidence. During the opening moto he worked himself up into the lead and never looked back to win the race. In the second moto he did the same thing. He was riding a strong pace and was in control for the entire race. With a double moto win he took the overall win in Gemert.
In Marum he took pole position with a large margin over the second place rider and took his good rhythm with him into the first moto. He managed to make a gap over himself and the rest of the field in the beginning of the race and finally won the moto with an advantage of more than 20 seconds.
In the second moto his gap was not so big but Dave was in control and kept the second place rider at a safe distance. Again he crossed the finish line in first position and with this he took his second win in just three days!
This Sunday the Hutten Metaal Yamaha team will race the third round of the Dutch Masters of Motocross in Harfsen!
